The Amazon is lost…
This is truly a disaster we have all been watching play out for decades
Yes, we can blame a corrupt government and farmers trying to survive but in my view,
we are equally to blame
Year after year we see and read these headlines and yet we continue to buy unregulated or even illegal products
If we all stood up to this kind of corruption we could help countries like Brazil turn their economies towards long-term sustainability
For those that are trying to help I commend you in your efforts, for those making a profit off of this global catastrophe, is it really worth it?
I could name some very big well-known companies in this, but it’s we as consumers that ultimately have the power
This is not about farmers trying to survive, this is about us as consumers not caring where we get our products from or at what cost?
Time to stop this by taking responsibility for it and forcing our governments to take the necessary steps to truly help the Brazilian people
Sorry for the bad news, but the good news is we do have the power to stop it
The crisis in the Amazon is our collective fault and is but one example of many similar or worse…
